Talk about bad luck

At the meeting Sat I was asked how the tank was and any more power outages. Replied no outages all good redid the backup so only 2 things in it; return pump and powerhead. I even returned the generator on Thursday night. About midnight I hear noise and the power went out again, of course. Threw the battery air pumps in and went back to bed. Woke up for work and still no power; so had to drive to stepdaughter's house to work. The tank is fine so far but come on - no problems for 3 weeks and now this. Talk about coincidence but wondering who jinxed me at the meeting....LOL

Just heard JCP&L will have power back at 8pm tonight, not good.

I forgot to mention my power backup did not even kick in when power was lost.

Chris gave me a good alternative to battery air pumps, battery operated camping shower. I will have to look into that as its cheaper than a generator.

Everything seems back to normal. Except my sailfin tang; picked it last week and hung a mirror. Its 2x the size of my YT but the YT beats the crap out of it. I hung another mirror and hoping for the best as I cannot catch either one to place in acclimation box.

The mirror is just amazing on keeping aggressive fish busy!! But you still need some luck, so good luck!!
Also talking about bad luck, have you ever talked to someone about any particular coral on how great is doing color and all of that and suddenly a few days later just lost it???

Same here!! A was telling my friend Kelvin that I even think coral have feelings, when you are in front of the tank and say I don’t like this coral or I’ll trade you notice how it changes for worse

Me. Need to get something to keep tank running. Thinking of getting a inverter generator. They are small fairly lightweight.

3 years ago I broke down and bought a portable gas powered generator, we’ve been debating about getting a permanent generator installed with an automatic transfer switch as to avoid the hassle of pulling the generator out of the shed firing it up and running half a dozen extension cords.

Problem is my development doesn't allow generators and will fine I think $100 per day. Why I am considering the generator inverter, easier to conceal and not as loud.

That sucks; I will never live in a HoA just because of these idiotic rules.
