Tank Bounce and Floor Jack

So even though I just have a 36 gallon I noticed I ran my tank the wrong way. Parallel with floor joist vs perpendicular. When I walk by it - I am heavy and a heavy walker I see waves. It freaks me out. I don't really feel like moving the entire tank.

Do think floor jacks in the basement would stop the bounce and not do damage to the floor?

I thought I could do like a 4 foot 4x4 (unsure span) was thinking I would cover 4 joist, and hold that 4x4 out to joist with 2 floor jacks. My basement is unfinished as of now, and if I was ever to do anything I could remove, and probably move the tank.

Is this a pointless act? What are the risk? floor damage? I am assuming I just want it tight to the floor but not exerting too much upward pressure?

I am not worried about floor caving in as much as I am sway pressure on glass and tank failure

plus it would help my wife to not be so worried

can you drain and move the tank? it may be easier

just need help - what beer do you like lol

I could - the joist seem easy enough though just wrench them tight-

I actually kind of want to put the whole thing in the basement and start my fish room. Then I would sit in my unfinished all the time lol

Basement is actually the answer because then I could get water on floor with out getting yelled at, and could set up RO/DI

Fish room would be cool I love mine
the real answer is to parlay this into a bigger tank - get that setup in basement and transfer lifestock.

then setup old tank as "quarantine" - then just forget all that and set it up with other livestock I want.

I need to figure out what I want and tell my wife 50% of the prices and go from there

Could build bigger tank into the wall of the fish room then finish the basement around the tank old tank could be quarantine or frag tank. My wife doesn't like aquarium stands she thinks they are all ugly that's how I got my tank in the wall and a fish room behind it

You beat me to it, was going to say similar. Bigger tank in basement makes the move easier.
