ecambero's sump has been stripped of GE Silicone II and the baffles have been re-installed with GE Silicone I.

My only concern would be if the contaminants were absorbed by the silicone/rock/sand in the tank.....

ecambero, when you used the GE Silicone II on your first attempt on the sump, how long did you let it cure for?

oh ok, i was just wondering since most of the accounts ive been reading that used GE II successfully were people who let there silicone cure for a good period of time. its been noted by others that GE II when it cures, produces ammonia. I am not sure if you tested your tank for ammonia when your incident happened but that could of been the cause of the crash. As you know I am also having the same issue, however my tank has not lost anything as of yet.

So im clearing out my tank today and to my amazement. My war coral and CLAM!!! seem to be unaffected by the current conditions and ammonia of .5 i n my tank How can the clam survive where the fish didnt?
 
I don't know how that happened, but it is good news. Edwin, let us know when you are ready and we'll cut you another cyphestra frag and stylo frag.
