I've seen tanks online where people have multiple firefish- I actually have one in my 13 gal- almost too big for the tank- maybe I'll move it to the 30 gal and add another- my lfs had them for $20 this week- less than what I paidI've also never really been wowed either, even any of the boutique clowns. Have you considered firefish? Perfect for a nano. I think they're kind of underrated, but they're really good looking fish. Nice markings. I want a red and a purple pair when I get my 125g.
Yes I've read that they like to pair up, one of the things that interests me about them. What I'm not clear on is if it needs to be a m/f pair, or if they just like having a partner and a m/m or f/f pair is also fine.I've seen tanks online where people have multiple firefish- I actually have one in my 13 gal- almost too big for the tank- maybe I'll move it to the 30 gal and add another- my lfs had them for $20 this week- less than what I paid

I always thought the Talbot Damsel was a nice looking fish but I don't put any damsels in my tank except for the 1 clown fish I have.I just added 2 pink damsels to one tank- not sure if they'll breed/ mate, but what great fish- very inexpensive- pictures of them don't do them justice- very active
Don't shoot me, but I'm not into clowns ( real or fish lol ) I considered Talbot's , Pink were a bit less and not much info about them so I figured I could be the guinea pig so to speakI always thought the Talbot Damsel was a nice looking fish but I don't put any damsels in my tank except for the 1 clown fish I have.
I am not a clown fish fan. Only have it because my wife and grandson wanted them. Mine was adopted from MarkC.Don't shoot me, but I'm not into clowns ( real or fish lol ) I considered Talbot's , Pink were a bit less and not much info about them so I figured I could be the guinea pig so to speak
I have no problem with being territorial- just don't get nasty or I'll rehome your tail lolMost damsels in the Chrysiptera family are on the more docile side. They are still damsels though and will get somewhat territorial as the age.
I have nothing against clowns- they just don't 'do it' for me- I like that they are hardy and breed in captivity- but from things that I've read they can be very nasty- more so than many damselsI am not a clown fish fan.
