Looking for a company to move a running 210 system,anyone know of a company?
Ive contacted a very well know one and they want to sell me a new system...

How far of a move are we talking?
NJ to NJ? Out of state? The more info the better.

Is this a tank you are buying and looking to reset up quickly?
I did the same thing from Oakland NJ to Dumont NJ, less than an hour drive, but was able to quickly break down the tank, transport, and set back up.
The only thing I would do different based on what I know now is I would have initially gone bare bottom, and slowly added sand back into the system.

Reason I ask, is the group has many people that lend a hand when needed.
I have been reefing since 2014, and have moved or helped move many tanks.
I am sure there are members that have moved 10 times as many as me.
And many are willing to help out a fellow reefer,

I love that whole idea.
Move a tank? What? Are you an idiot!? We can sell you a new tank at 20x the cost of moving that perfectly good one you have, you fool.

Is it something a group of us can do?
We're not all professional, pretty, or classy, but we can move heavy things.

I have found that the MOST useful tools when breaking down tanks you are looking to reset back up are containers and bins.
I personally love the 5 gallon water jugs and Rubbermaid bins.
I sent him things to consider before moving the tank.

Order some replacement bulkheads (incase the originals are damaged, I personally would replace mine, as the seals go.
The other thing is make fresh salt water for once you arrive with the new tank. The more the better.

I can offer a couple or 3 large totes and some buckets for extra water to lend if needed. When I did my tank swap, which wasn’t a very big one mine you, having plenty of buckets and bins available was a huge help.

I second all this. If you are moving buckets of just water I would recommend aerating the water. Used salt water goes rancid pretty quick. Learned that the hard way. Make as much salt water as you can and have it waiting for you up to temp.

Ok ok ok now only saying this once,, I have new clean 55gal drums with locking lid, a heavy duty pump with 100ft hose, can pump water from tank to barrels on truck then right back in at new location,, also depending on gallon amount on tank( yours 210) I’d hook you up with 50 gallons of pure fresh ocean water to put into tank at new place,, full of the bacteria and other crap most everyone pays lot of money for,, FREE,,, to you and anybody else in our community,,,
I’ll also bring my boys ( 19.5 inch arms)
I pick things up and I put them down.
Lol,,, Maybe I should start my own tank moving service
How much do they charge for that kind of thing,, keep hearing how expensive it is
