I picked up the tank today and noticed the following defect. It is more of a small sliver of glass is missing. I am concerned of the tank leaking or cracking now. Here are some pics and any opinions appreciated. The pics make it look bad but it doesn't to the eye.

I've had tanks with the same thing in the corner without issue, but if it really worries you then you could get the same depth glass cut to size and just replace it.

Chips like that usually don't cause a problem. It's more of an eye sore than a real leak issue... unless it goes into the silicone sealant.

Still, if you bought the tank new I'd suggest asking them to replace it. No reason to accept a faulty product. If you bought it used then I guess that's on you for not seeing it before you took it home. :(

I did buy it used and agree my fault for not noticing. Unless this happened in transit.
Thanks for the info as long as it holds water I will deal with the eye sore.

Looks just like my tank!

In the process of moving it ump-teen times, the corners get chipped.. Here’s a close up of one of my big chips.

What I did was pick up corner molding and attached it to the corner using Sticky-Tack:

Problem solved!

Paul,
Thanks for the re-assurance. I was think of doing the same thing with corner molding.

I've had that before also. Mine was in the back. I put some silicone over it for one to prevent it from becoming a bigger problem and two you sometimes have sharp edges. It usually is not a problem...
