Well after changing out my pump my temperature did not go any lower than 81.0 degrees. So I than unplugged my protein skimmer for 36 hours and the temperature than dropped to 78.8 and that was the lowest my tank would drop. So after changing everything and unplugging everything I am at a loss. With just my tank running with a quiet one return pump and two koralia #2 powerheads it stays at 78.8 degrees which is ok. But once I plug in the protein skimmer it jumps up to 81.0 degrees which is a bit high for me. So I guess this leaves me with no choice but to run a fan on my sump at all times to keep my tank at a cool temperature.
