Temper-pedic mattress, anyone have one?

This mattress is quite expensive, felt great in the store, but looking to get some unbiased opinions. There are so many good and bad on so called review sites. The range of prices for a king size goes from 3000 to. 9200. A lot of money for a bed, but given one sleeps on it everyday, if they are as good as advertised I think a good investment.

i don't have an advise for the Temper-pedic mattress...

however, regardless where do you get it, stay away form those rip off store like Sleepys... better to try them in Macys and if you don't like them later, you can return it... or get from Costco, but i am not sure costco have product demo for it.

The wife and I tried a in-store Sleep Number bed when we were on vacaton and fell in love with it. We went to our local Sleep Number store and ordered a Queen size for our new house. I'll tell you what, with this bed I've never dreamed so much in my life. I sleep soooo good and 8 out of 10 times dont wake up at all through out the night. plus the entire set-up was just under $2,000!!! We were looking at other beds but couldn't see spending $3,000+ on one. The Sleep Number fit the bill just right.

My brother and sister-in-law have one and it's pretty sweet. They love it and I've slept in it a few nights and it was like sleeping on air. If I had the $$ to drop on a bed I'd be all over it!

Just to throw another bed into the mix. Me and my wife bought a Dr. Breaus(sp?) mattress and it's the best bed we have ever owned. I think only sleepys carries it though. No springs, but not memory foam either. I believe it's latex.

We have a temper-pedic. I do not like it & my fiance loves it. I just like being able to be sunken into a bed, lol.
I however, I love the Sleep Number bed!! We had one when we want on vacation. You're able to set individual stiffness/softness.

We bought a Sealy memory foam mattress (queen) about 5 years ago for my son's new bedroom set. I think it was a "Posture Pedic" but not sure because their website shows the Posture's as a spring type and this is definitely a memory foam. They had 3 types, soft, medium, and firm. We elected to go with the medium and it's the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. I think we paid like $1000 for it at that time.

A couple years later, we went back to the same store to buy a King size of the same mattress for our bed. Unfortunately, none of the beds they had felt the same to us. The salesman told us that they no longer make them like they did when we bought our old one. We were very disappointed and ended up not buying any at all. Not only do the newer models not feel even close to as comfortable, but they are like triple the price from when we bought the old one.

We'll probably be looking for something comparable at a reasonable price again soon because our current mattress is on it's last leg. We made the mistake of getting a pillow top mattress and the problem with those is that you can't flip them over. Granted, with the memory foam type you don't need to do that anyway, but if you end up getting an older stly with springs... DO NOT GET A PILLOW TOP!

I have a Serta icomfort and love it. We tried alot of different ones at Raymor and Flanigan. It ran around 3k. The temper-pedic was the best but like $4500. This was the one we liked next best. They all take time to get used too and you will be sore from sleeping on it (if you sleep on your back). After a month me and my wife love it. You can tell differences when you lay on a few cheaper ones.

sleep numbers are good but i have found that quality mattresses are those you try before you buy. Just remember the boxspring is as important as the mattress itself. Also invest in a great mattress cover protector that covers the full thing. It will extend the life of your mattress.

From what i've read, the costco memory foam matresses(nova foam i think it's called) are very similar quality to the really expensive brands, and they only cost like 500 when on sale. I'd look into those if you wanted to save a bit. Otherwise i don't think there's a better brand then temper-pedic.
