Well
The 70 cube is coming down and being replaced with a db 80 rimless frag tank that will be my main display tank.I picked up the tank from Steve at ultra coral,Im getting rid of the led's and going back to T5's.Stay tuned for pics.
Thanks

Looking forward to the build. Going back to T5, nice. The more I think about switching from T5 to LED the more I talk myself into staying with T5.

To be honest,I dont think led is where it needs to be yet.
Im really likeing the ati hybrid fixture but again its still new and want to see some reviews after a year or so in use.T5 has been proven time after time so thats why im going back.

Have to finish bracing and then ill stain and finish the trim and doors.
More to come as time allows....

Jim, looking real good. FYI, that center brace is not necessary. This stand is extremely overbuilt. You'll be fine if you wish to remove that center brace.

Hey Paul
Thanks,
The center brace is only there as a door stop, and yes its WAY overbuilt but better safe than sorry.

some more progress

Well had a little time again today so I did the following
put foam padding on top of the stand, and put the tank on it
set the sump inside the stand and mounted the upper sump which will be for macro algae and will flow back into the return section of the sump.
I still need to put the ATO tank in the stand then do all the plumbing, here's some more pics

Looking good, just one question how do you service that first section for the macro looks a little tight.

Yeah it a little tight but I still have room to get in there, the only function for the upper sump is to grow cheato so theres not much service that will be needed, Im also toying with the idea of putting a narrow raceway down the center of the main sump for mangroves but i'll have to think about that some more.
