The little hermit that could

This darn hermit is always in my large sps. He swears he is an acro crab. He loved my ponape colony until I fragged it down small and now he hangs in the Microphalma. Its a scarlet red, the bright red kind. I did a search and saw a few people who encountered this. Anyone else have this happen?

No hermits, but y small green emerald crab loves to do the same in my frag tank. Does no harm but loves to hang out.

Scarlets are the only hermits I have, because they are supposedly the reef-safest. I've never seen them hanging out in sps, but pretty much everywhere else.

It actually looks like that guy is taking a snooze.

I have mostly blue legs and a few zebra striped that both do the same. Mostly in the birdsnest but the do venture once in a while onto different montis.

Does anyone know why they do this? Some times it looks like they get stuck and I remove them then they go right back
