So I'm reviving my IM 30 long.
Its's 36" length, 10" (working) width (theres another 6" behind that for the AIO compartments), 13" deep. Nuvo Fusion Pro 30L With Black APS Stand - Innovative Marine

Compartments: Filter media tower (floss/carbon), 2x heaters (on controllers), Skimmer, small UV (biocube mini), DC return
HOB: CPR medium fuge with cheato and pods (the return bypasses filtration)
ATO: Avast pressure setup
Wavey stuff: 2x Jebao SLW-20s (trying to fit in my 2x 1/2" seaswirls if I can)
LIghting: Currently 4 bulb T5

Toughts? Suggestions? LEDs for sale that might work better? Opinions on reactors? MAdreefer has some fantastic lighting results with Ocean Revives, which is temting me back to at least partial LED lighting.
I'm prone just to do 10% weekly water change as total volume will be approx 40 gallons.

Just curious to gather the opinions and thoughts of anyone willing to offer.

i bought a pair of popbloom rs90s for my 50g lowboy and i am extremely happy with them. the spectrum is just beautiful - we were slumming it with nicrews, t5s and some other crap lighting but these are definitely a different caliber (ive yet to move up to $400-800+ lighting) - its got the blue that just pops off and is 4 channel adjustable. i think i posted the inserts on another thread here. current settings are much lower than in the video but the thing i did was buy a second controller. so both lights are now controlled individually, i have softies on one side the tank and sps on the other side. downside is no phone app. i paid $350 for 2 lights 1 controller and another $30 for the second controller. guy who sells them is over on r2r, his name is oliver - talk to him and get a discount

here is a video of when i first got them, set the video quality on the youtube player to 1080.

id skip the skimmer if you dont have a sump, small skimmers never do a great job. try to fit a 4" sock in back there maybe.

i like vinegar dosing in combination with a sock (roller mat would be even better - thats what im going to try to do on my 300 when i get it going - skip the skimmer and refugium - just have a roller mat and vinegar dosing)

my current three tanks:

125g - 40b sump has decent skimmer, refugium and i vinegar dose, my NO3 is 1ppm

50 - 40b sump has a ro 110, sometimes i run a sock - usually not and no refugium or dosing, my NO3 is at 3 ppm

29 biocube has refugium and 4" sock in back chamber - no skimmer and no dosing, my NO3 is 18 ppm
