thoughts on this fixture?

Im thinking about putting this over a 36X18X18 tank because I want the power of halides and the ability to control dawn/dusk. Do you think this would be a good choice?

Looks like a very decent fixture, although Id swap out the bulbs. I cant say enough good things about T5, not looking at any fixtures like that?

Take a look at the Current Outer Orbit fixtures. For that price you could get the 2 X 250w MHs with 4 x 39W T5s. It also comes with 18 moonlights (9 white and 9 blue)each type of light has it's own switch (MHS, T5s, white LEDs and blue LEDs - 4 switches)

I have looked at the outer orbit but just puts out wayyy too much light for a tank that small.

I have the 2 x150w w/4 T5s on my 46 bowfront just right! The only reason I suggested the 2 X 250w because it was in the same price range.

interesting, do you have any issues with it being too much light OR does that fixture give you any heat problems? And do you see any noticable spike in your electric bill each month with that outer orbit?
