Tips for tank upgrade

Will be upgrading from a 37 gallon to a 75 gallon in a couple of weeks, any tips to make the process smoother? Do I use new sand? Should I use all of the water?

This what I did.
I bought new sand and seeded it with 1 or 2 cups from running tank.
I used new water in DT and used old water in sump, kept some in case I was short.
