Titanium Heaters

I purchased a 1000w JBJ tru temp titanium heater with controller through one of our sponsors. When I opened the package I was impressed and for the next couple of months, it was awesome how my temp no longer fluctuated as much as it always did. Then I ran into the problem that I have now read lots of people run into in a short time of use....The heating element burnt out! Now not only was I angry that this happened, but I was also let down by the party I purchased it from with no offer to help at all(but that is besides the point!).

So I missed out on the warranty because life got busy and I now have to buy another element. I do not see replacements sold anywhere??? They all can't be bad because I read mixed reviews. I want to give JBJ a second shot at redemption, but can't find the replacement I need. Has anybody seen these elusive things???

If I can't find a JBJ replacement, I see that Coralvue now makes one that would plug into my JBJ controller....any thoughts or experience with them?

Any other Titaniums out on the market?

I'm using a blueline 500 watt titanium heater with my controller. Can't vouch for its long term reliability since I've only had it about 5 months but so far so good. I picked it up from champion lighting for around 35 or 40 dollars.

Don, you’re talking to a limited number of people who don’t have swimming pools for fish tanks. Not many of us use 1000W heaters. I’m a Jager believer, but they only go up to 300W....and they are glass. I’d suggest posting this over on RC or R2R.

When the float switch on my JBJ ATO went by the way side I was in a similar situation. No one sells just the JBJ replacement float switches. So I called them up and I was able to purchase the float switch right from them. The lady on the phone was very friendly and helpful and I had a new switch in 3 days. I would call them direct for a replacment.
