Just recently joined the forum after lurking for a while. Here is a quick overview of my current tank. First a little background. I've been wanting a reef tank for years but hadn't sent one up due to space constraints. Last January, with another kid on the way, we moved the family out of our condo and into a new house with plenty more space. Shortly after my son was born the wife gave the all clear for the tank. My current setup is as follows:

EQUIPMENT
75 reef-ready Aga
Trigger systems sump
PM 175 redline skimmer
BRS carbon reactor
MP40, MP10 and Tunze nano wavebox
2AI SOL blues (recent upgrade From a 6 bulb T5 unit)
Bubble manus doser for 2-part

LIVESTOCK
1 Maroon clown
2 Chromis
1 Lyretail Anthias
1 Lawnmower Blenny
1 Melanurus wrasse
Assorted Zoas
Deresa clam
Gorgonian
Cabbage and Fiji leathers
Maze brain
Plate
Duncan's
Urchin
Sea cucumber
CB Shrimp

The tank has now been up for 18 months and is doing well. Now that im confident i can maintain water quality, care for LPS and provide sufficant light, I'm going to be adding some SPS soon to increase my coral diversity. Here are some recent picks of the tank

Looks awesome Tom. Hope to see you up at the swap! What's across the top of the tank? Looks like a mesh of some sort.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm really happy with the tank. I'll have to upload a few pics from when I was building the stand etc. It is amazing looking back at a tank full of nothing but BRS dry rock to where she is now. I have certainly had a few struggles and losses but things are doing great now.

Zoanut. The things across the top of the tank are my anti carpet surfing system. When I had T5 lighting I couldn't have glass screens due to the heat. I got some bird netting that you use in the yard and a bug screen frame kit from lowes. The mesh is small enought to keep any jumpers in yet big enough not to effect ligh penetration.

Nice tank! Love the melanarus. I just added one a few weeks ago and it's become my favorite. I can't wait till it gets its adult color

Then life got in the way so I've had no time to get online but now I'm back and plann on being more active so I become more involved in the local reefing community. Ill throw up som tank shots shortly.

So here are some updated pics. The right side of the scape used to have another big boulder. This was taken up with a big cabbage a purple cap and a few frags. All I did was remove one big rock and relocate some coral. It made such a difference to the space and feel of the tank. Things have been growing nicely also. I'm going to be off work the next few days so I plan on doing some maintenance and swinging by ultimate coral for the first time. Need some zoas
