Day off work in the week means serious progress. Got the stand finished, primed and painted. Doors will be done over the weekend. Picked the tank up and got it all on the house. Couple of big orders at brs and amazon which will mean I can get the plumbing all done and the new hanging kit for the lights in place.

Got the backn of the tank painted and the lighting rails hung. Plumbing is 90% done. Waiting on some gate valves to come in the mail to finish it all off. This is going to be plumbed herbie.

I also levelled the stand today. Left to right no issues. Length wise im about 1/4" off over 60". I shimed everythink up with composite shims and 1/4" ply. On transfer day ill move the 8x4s and floor jacks from under the current tank to the new to ensure a fully stable platform.

I want to see how bothersome the ligjting will be when seated on the couches. I will probably go with something like mnat has. Next thoughts are on flow. Right now im running and mp40 and 10 but its a 4ft tank and im only cranked up to 40%. Im thinking the mp40 in the back will be fine as im going to keep the scape minimal and get some rock back in my sump.

Awesome work! So everything is going into the 93g? Are you going to transfer everything over? What's the plan?

Plan is to transfer everything over. I'll go with a new sand bed and just add a cup of two from the old tank. I'm basically at a point now where I have a little plumbing left to do. Then it's time to mix up a boat load of water. I have a couple of 20g tubs I'm going to use to hold the rock and live stock the day of the move. Ill Shut down the 75. Transfer the sump and other equipment over. Partially fill with new water. Add back the rock and sand. Fill with old tank water. Move fish and coral back in and let everything chill out overnight before I adjust the scape and glue in the corals the next day. One thing I'm going to do on this tank is reduce the amount of rock in the display and put some back in the sump. I'm aiming for a more open look with a nice open water space above a bunch of sps for a harem of anthias to swim ;)

Check out post #20

Lol. I realized I don't need the big Rubbermaid. It's amazing how many large water holding devices you acquire when your have a reef tank. Also realized that I can probably do the whole thing in a day.

Oh ok cool. I have two 44g brutes if you want to borrow them

Thanks for the offer but I'm good. I have 2 32 gallon brutes (filling with ro as we speak). I have another 20 gallons of ro that I'll keep on reserve. Plus I have 2 20 gallon tubs that I use for water changes. I plan on making plenty more water that I need just in case some drama arises. I'll probably start pulling coral on Friday night and put it into a temp frag tank. Then Saturday it will be full speed ahead to get everything switched.

Its amazing that you spend 3+ years trying not to destroy sps growth and in the matter of an our tear itn all up. All my lps and gorgs are in the holding tank. I broke 90 of my sps of the rock and some how manged to keep it all intact. Iv probably sent my tang into an ich outbreak base on how many fin flicks hes throwing off!
