Torch being overtaken by white covering

Hey all,

Over the last few days I’ve noticed a decline in my torch coral. Today I noticed that a white cap has grown over it. It seems to be overtaking the coral the same way BJD would, but it does appear to be BJD. Any insight would be appreciated!!!

Almost looks like a sponge to me.. Weird.
Hopefully someone has better insight ive never seen this before.
