I just flipped it on - and ok - when they start putting fish in the car/tank - the guy describes the puffer and says it has an extra long snout to get at algae behind the rocks, I already lost all respect for him.
I thought all puffers are carnivores? I don't pretend to know everything so someone chime in if i'm right or not.
I don't think they use the snout for algae in crevices but more for crustaceans. The guy who made the comment I don't think was as knowledgeable as the other one.
My first impression of the show ... the hosts are complete idiots, the one seems to know a bit more than the other. It seems they concentrate more on drama than showing how they build the stuff.
I'll probably keep watching because the end products are pretty cool. But I'm not as thrilled as I was before.
Yea, I realize that they need that to draw in people to watch. I just think it detracts from the important part of the show... the meat and potatoes of how they build/create/repair the tanks in the show. That's what I'm interested in seeing.
I guess I'll have to live with it just to see the few glimpses of the good stuff. It's funny though, in the first 5 minutes, I could tell they were rolling out the cookie cutter reality show... especially when they started describing the dad. :
I wish it was that easy. They seem to have a few different projects going on throughout the show. Some end in the middle, some in towards the end, and then the last at the very end. I guess I could just fast forward throught the first half at least.
That would make it easier for me to watch, but I still feel like I'm being cheated of the details they leave out to put in all the "fluff".
