+1 on IceCap LED strips. I use them as first lights on, last lights off....they are more of a moonlight then supplemental. If I leave them on with my T5's, don't even know they are on....what Taz said, washed out.

That is what I use my LED for moonlights. If they are on with my T5 you can not tell that they are on.

Maybe I'll take out the compacts and retro some t5's in . The other thing is I thinking gotta be more patient I think. They've only been up a few weeks and everything is coloring up more every day. I've got all winter to play with them.
Thanks for all the good words guys. I also forgot to post upy favorite frag

Your frag looks great.

I think the exoexotic stunners are the way to go, they were actually made to be run along side other more powerful lights and not get washed out. I have a 24 inch Ice cap LED thingy if you want it, don't really see myself using it.

Thanks!
Power been out since 6. Inverter is doing good keeping a return pump and skimmer running. And a radio to go with my tequila...... Lol

Yeah, they shut down our power grid 6 hrs before the storm came. Suks but we'll deal with it. I was able to keep 2 return pumps and our fridge running all night, so it could b worse. I just hope they turn us back on soon

In the pic of the clowns, what fish is that in the lower left corner? Great looking acans.

The fish with a yellow tail that is red and blue ? If it's that, it's a red coris wrasse. He was a pia in the beginning flipping rocks and stuff, and likes escargot, but I can always order more....lol

I decided to go with the stunners so all I gotta do is sell my icecap light. I also found a new home for the big leather I had so now I have more room for corals. It's amazing how much flow that sucker stopped... Heres a few pics

Not sure on the size but I think I'm just going for the blues. I still have to sell my icecap light before the wife will let me get them

Tank looks great,That coris wrasse is one of my favorite wrasses, aside from flipping rocks and eating snails(and Im sure shrimp)do you ever have any prob's with him nipping on corals?and I dont think you could do clams either right? Also what are the yellow ringed polyps?

I had to do some modifications like glue everything to heavier rocks to accommodate it but so far so good. I have so many snails that I don't see any problems since they are multiplying as it eats them and no polyp picking as of yet. I don't have any shrimp so I'm good there. The yellow polyps are la lakers that I won 5 polyps on coral penny auction. As for clams I'm not sure. My wife really wants one but I'm not sure if I want to take a chance on a pricey meal.

I hear ya on the pricey meal.I once had a hawkfish when I first started and it was a great fish until one day...he devoured 4 cleaner shrimp. Those LA Lakers are sweet.I've seen them on a few sites,gd to know they look as gd in real life.

They look better under T 5's. They are real vibrant. When I frag them I will set some pollips aside for you.
