Two Questions

Hoping someone can answer.

1) Why does the RO/DI faucet connection leak by the hose and lock, see pic?

2) Dorso was making noise and cleared out salt creep from air vent. The skimmer is overflowing and sump level is high. I adjusted return pump flow it no good and was strong so dialed it back. How do I control sump level? Rise of lower stand pipe? I should add I also cleaned skimmer in vinegar bath last week.

Thanks

Sump level - when you dialed the return back, you lowered the level In the tank. That water goes to sump. If the level in tank is ok, I’d just take some water out of sump.

How is the sump configured? I have a separate return section to handle fluctuations, there needs to be a fair amount of water being added to the sump to affect the skimmer section.

You can also raise the skimmer height if you don’t want to remove any water.

You may need to add another, it appears to not me making a connection. It could also be cracked or broken. I have a couple extra that came with products I bought. I don’t use them. If your going to the meeting I’ll bring you one.

You will need to remind me....

I have raised the skimmer about 2 inches. Will dial back more as flow is too strong now and remove water from sump thanks.

Is the adapter PVC threaded? If so it's not tight enough. Ditch it and get one with a brass thread

or try putting some white thread tape around your sing threads as you screw the plastic version onto the faucet. Should help. Not bad to do either way plastic of brass.
