Just order from Thirsty reef. No one locally has a OG PM colony.I listened to a podcast that he was on. (Beyond the reef on YouTube) He seems like an awesome guy. I reached out to him about a couple of things and he got back to me right away. I ended up placing an order with him for the 50% off and ships in November sale, also if you listened to the podcast he gave you a promo code for an additional 10% of your entire order. So in November I hopefully have some nice SPS coming my way!
Good, glad to hear. He seems to have a lot of good reviews. I can't wait till November to get my delivery! That’s where most of my corals came from. He has nice stuff and he’s a standup good guy.

The mother colony was collected in the Solomon Islands. It arrived here July 25th 2024. It’s not a lineage piece, and was never stated as such. Probably as close as I’m gonna get, without paying huge $$. The likelihood that it’s the same as the O.G. Tyree is probably high. I guess a DNA test could confirm or deny….. lol
I’m an old school halide guy. Running LED wide open….lolYea prices got crazy on the tyree pieces. I tried one from thirsty back in May but lost it by July. It never settled in. I may try again if I can work something out with him for a larger frag. I think some of these recent wild ones will be damn close when they settle in and grow in tank conditions. This is one back in my last tank. I grew a big colony of it back in 2005 but lost the photos on photo bucket. Unless you run a whiter spectrum, it’s thoroughly unimpressive under today’s blue LEDs lol.
