So am I the only one thats getting REALLY REALLY PEEVED at the stupid name game again on corals?
Lately theres been some different colored zoos coming out of nam with the maxi mini's and all i see is that age old stupid question "WHAT SHOULD WE NAME IT"
Well in my eyes name it a zoo or paly, with hammers and frogspawn ans so forth if its green well as green, gold, purple tip and so on but zoos have stupid names why?
Sorry for the rant.....

I read a thread reply from Dr. Mac about this. He said if he has the same zoa/paly listed on his site, one named and other listed without a name the named frag always sells and sells for more money. But the un-named frag won't sell until he lists it with a name.

It just drives me nuts,mr.coral sells "super high end" zoos like sapranos, scarface, knightmares and so forth for $10.00 theres a saprano grow out on another site the buy in for 1 polyp was $186.00 and people paid it

I wonder if there may be some rationalization that takes place here. If the buyers think they are making an investment in their stock by getting these "designer" corals it may help assuage the angst that goes along with spending so much money on a coral. It may be easier to justify paying $40 for a single polyp of a high end zoa v. $40 bucks for a colony that is publicly considered "run of the mill". I don't know what it is but there is some psychology going on. I'm just gald that zoas don't do well in my system so there's no reason to buy them. I did get caught up in the blasto craze of '06 though!
