Underwater camera

I'm in the market for a waterproof camera as the iPad and I phone aren't cutting it any more. Only looking to spend a few hundred bucks any input would be appreciated.

Are you looking for a still camera? What will you be using it for? Your tank? Snorkeling? Diving?

Check out this SeaLife DC1400. http://www.sealife-cameras.com/cameras/dc1400-pro

It is a great camera and it comes with the camera, housing and strobe. It is a really nice camera that I have used myself. And it it loads cheaper than buying a Canon 5D and housing!

Using it for taking pics in the tank,I have a life case for the iPhone and get this the touch screen won't work under water frustrating. My brother has a go pro ill have to barrow it and give it a try. Do you know if they sell a cord to link it to the IPad.

what i usually do when i use my lifeproof case is turn on auto focus, zoom before i place it in my tank, and then press the volume up key to take a picture.

Thanks just tried ,works like a charm didn't even know the phone would do that. Like I said I was fumbling around with the screen underwater and it wouldn't recognize anything. You the man

I have one of those olympus p&s waterproof cameras and they are great. Takes decent pictures and they are tough as can be. Ive taken it wetsuiting, snorkelling, bounced it off of rocks/jetties and tossed it in the bottom of my kayak and it keeps on going.
