Uniseal vs bulkhead?

So I was just given a brand new 1200gph overflow box from Modular Marine from my friend and the drains have uniseals instead of bulkheads.

I've never had sumps before so this will be my first time plumbing and drilling an aquarium.

Are uniseals ok to use? All the videos I've seen have bulkheads so I havent been able to find anything.

I ordered the MM 1600g overflow yesterday. He had been using bulk heads and switched over to uniseals. I prefer bulk heads. One thing I did read is that uniseals don't seal to vinyl and only to PVC. So if you are going to use vinyl you will need to use pvc - to barb fitting - to vinyl tubing.

I am also new to plumbing. I must have spent 90 minutes yesterday. at just looking at plumbing fittings

Could you remove the uniseal and install a bulkhead ? is hole size the same ?

much prefer bulkheads..... and they adhere to the pvc if you glue them or get them threaded and you can screw them in. these options alone makes the bulkhead better than uniseals.... Just for peace of mind....................... Im assuming the holes would be the same size

Uniseals are removable according to MM owner

Uniseals are not for long term use. They're made out of rubber, and will get very very hard in salt water over time.

Uniseals are usually used when your trying to put a pipe in something that is round. Like if you wanted to plumb a brute trash can. I wouldn't use one for my tanks plumbing.
