So I tried for about an hour and apparently I am worse with computers than I thought. Called a friend and he helped me for like 45 minutes with no success (most likely still because I'm no good with computers).
I brought it to my bosses house today and did it on a PC and it literally took 2 minutes. So if you're like me and don't know computers and need to update your controller find someone with a PC.

A little side note AI released a new version of its firmware today

Kevin, if you come up to Sunny's I'll bring my PC (netbook) for you to do whatever you need to do......assuming I could get online at Sunny's if that is required.

kevin, i have a macbook pro but installed windows on a partition using bootcamp any programs or situations like this and i simply hold the shift key when i turn on my computer and boots in windows. all you need to do is pick up a copy of windows 7, which is pretty cheap now since windows 8 came out. you may be able to get away with windows xp if your computer is old enough, starting in 2010 you can only install windows 7 or newer.

Thanks for the advice. I may have to look into that
