Urgent: Need RODI Canister or (O-Ring) - O ring Leaking...

Hey Guys,
I'm located in Trenton, NJ 08618 right off 29... I need some help or information.
I have family arriving Saturday Night. I need to Fill my tank before then. The problem.

I recently replaced my RODI cartridges. Now.. the First CLEAR canister...is somehow "Leaking" from the top. Its like the O-RING is not sealing/ When I look at the O-Ring it seems to "bunch up" but dosen't seem to seal off the water from below. My Leak Frog Alerted me to the problem as I constantly monitor the RODI when I make changes to it. Can I use like Teflon tape to assist the sealing somehow?

What can I do to try and Fix the O-Ring? can I use some Silicone and just silicone seal the first canister and muscle it off when I change cartridges again. (also have a new cartridge ready.

Is there anywhere local or in PA that I can get a replacement canister/cartridge? I'm completely blind down here as I haven't visited 1 LFS. I kinda don't know where many of them are. Getting any thing delivered before the xmas holiday may also be completely impossible.

If you still have the O-Ring and it's in one piece, put a little plumber's grease on it. I actually use Leslie's Pool Lube...it's the same stuff at a fraction of the cost. You need to buy that in a Leslie's Pool Store. In your area, there is one in Hamilton (950 Highway 33, Hamilton, NJ) and one in Lawrence (3375 Us Highway 1, #401, Lawrence,NJ). By lubing the O-ring, it will slip and not bunch.

Are these the BRS type canisters? I'm at work right now but when I get home I might have a extra canister or at least an o-ring you can borrow/use till you get yours taken care of. I'm not to far from you in bordentown. In the meantime here is the number for allquatics (609) 888-3311. I doubt they will have it but you never know. I'm willing to be HD will have it though. Let me know if you need mine

Found all aquatics they didn't have it gonna try home depot, grease and any other LFS I can find Saturday. Thanks guys for all the help gonna try a few things.

You will have to go to HD they most likely won't know what you are talking about if you call but they should have a complete selection of o rings to choose from. Just bring the old one or the canister with you so you can match it up.

Christmas miracle I scored 2 O rings at HD in Princeton. Only 2 bux each. Dropped 300 in toys though. I spoil my boys. Thanks guys looks like I might get this tank filled after all.

Did you put them in? Did they fit?

Believe it or not, all the housing manufactures make housings with unique sump to lid threads, and the orings are not interchangeable between brands. Remember to lube your orings with food grade silicone grease everytime you change your filters.
