UV Light

This was the UV I had in the 20g that died. Somehow water went into the unit. Not sure if I broke it the first moving around.
I did pick up a new bulb but that fried and not sure if I did not seal it properly or just no good from original damage.
Any thoughts as this for the seahorse tank? Should I try again or get a different one?

Did you wear gloves when touching the bulb? The oil on your hands will cause bulbs to burn out.

Good point, I did not. But there was water in the unit before I replaced the bulb.

Instead of buying bulbs to replace in a OLD piece of equipment just buy a whole new one , it’ll probably be better anyway with today’s new technology. I’ve learned that you get what u pay for if you wanna be cheap you’ll get cheap. Know what I mean brother,,, spend a couple of bucks
