I live in South jersey and finding corals and reef fish stores is a challenge. I traveled an hour today to go to reeftopia today. When I got there I didn't find anything I wanted, but a friend told me that there was another place that was good across the street. I kindly asked the accociate where exactly it was and he pointed and said over there with a smirk. I then asked him if he didn't want to tell me where it was and he said yes, why would I want to tell u about a competitor? I said, isn't that what reefers do, help each other out? He said not for the unmentioned other store he wouldn't. I asked why and he said they "crash tanks".I said "that's kind of a d$%K head thing to do, I'll take my chances over there, and i left. I went to the other place and it was one of the cleanst healthiest livestock well put together fish stores have seen, and they were very nice. I told them what the guy at reeftopia said and they apologised on his behalf and refused to throw insults back path them. He said that's not what we r about. The other guy wasnt even the owner and I thought he should be trying to help people in the hobby, not hold them back. This is the first time I have ever in 20 plus years in the hobby I have had anyone not try to help me strive in the hobby. My Lfs always recommends other places if they don't have what I want. I get it's a business and all,but isn't more healthy aquariums in the hobby and good friendly customer Service good as well? Anyway, am I overreacting or was he being a jerk? This i
