Walmart no longer carries the 13.5 lb size of baking soda. The largest is now 3.5 lbs. Well at least I have a 50lb bag of Driveway Heat that will last.

It was about $10 at Walmart. That and oil for the car are the only things I go there for.
I buy mine at Sam's (13.5 pounds) for around $6.
If anyone would like for me to pick up a bag for them at Sam's, let me know.....I'm going next week, some time.
THere's a restaurant supply store in Brink on Route 88, they have bags of things fro 3# to 14,000# at close to wholesale prices, gimme a sec...

I bought the 3# bag to get me through till I get to Costco. I didn't think to look in there pool supply section. It might be there.
This has nothing to do with your problem.
Is baking soda oft found in pool supply areas? For pH control I assume?
Is it marketed as baking soda or as another product.
I don't have a pool, nor do I need baking soda, but I am very curious.

Mark, I have a hole in the ground, and yes, pH control is sold by pool supply companies. I purchase the biggest bucket (I think 50 pounds) of soda ash (sodium carbonate) from Leslie's (around $60). The issue is that I don't know the purity. The great thing about Arm and Hammer Baking Soda is that it's food grade....pretty pure. The only thing you need to do is bake it to convert it from sodium bicarbonate to sodium carbonate.
