I would be very careful with peroxide. The little SPS I had died and so did some inverts like snails and the feather duster. It could be another reason got the inverts but I find
it odd all were fine until I added the peroxide. Research it before using.
Yea I wouldn't want to risk my sps. I do dip my zoas in peroxide with HA and it clear it up pretty easy. Also a strange thing is my zoas got really colorful afterward but one of my zoas closed up and haven't open so I haven't tried it again.
I had no issues at all with my sps ,snails or anything using peroxide . Have not read anything negative regarding it. There is actually a post of someone dosing 1 ml per gal by mistake without awful results. I wouldnt blame a zoa closing on dying on peroxide, its a zoa thats how they roll, lol. I think its odd you lost inverts, feather dusters and sps, could it of been another issue and just bad timeing that is giving the peroxide the blame ? Anyway just a suggestion ,treat as you wish .
I think with this hobby we gotta take it slow I don't want to make to much changes to the tank all at once so I'll slowly try one method and if that doesn't work try another. Will keep peroxide in mind if vinegar doesn't help. Appreciate the suggestion. How's your nitrate mad?
I think one treatment at a time is very smart . If you have too much going on and theres an issue you really cant point a finger at the cause, good luck.

As for peroxide and SPS; yes it could have been something else. Other forums and people here will also say SPS don't like peroxide but a few people have had success.
I remember years ago in the early 80 they use to make a thing with 2 interlocked bottles. One had weight in it and the other you put preoxide in it. The cap had the tinest pin hole in it to allow the peroxide to trickle out it was to increase the O2 level in the tank.
Tested today and no change. I have bumped the dosage to 20ml daily now.
I plan to test every 3 days going forward and increase the dosage by 10ml until I get 0ppm nitrates.
Be careful not to overdose as it can have a negative impact on your tank. 0-5pps nitrates is acceptable don't over chase it. Have you tried using a different test kit?
Do you have an algae problem? Do test for P04? Was curious to what's your reasoning to lowering your nitrate. I'm running 10ml per day and things haven't changed much. Hopefully within the next few weeks I'll see some results.
The nitrate always ran high 40ppm and was hard to lower. Best I ever did was 20ppm but only was and awhile. My coral seem much happier now. Not sure if its the lower nitrates or something else the vinegar is doing. I run a GFO reactor and have not test kits for PO4.
After this voltage leak something told me to test the water because my brain and scroll didn't seem well this morning. Here are my params for the test kits I currently have:
Steve, Yes it is odd. I have an Aquamedic turbo multi. It is a HOB but Aquamedic told me I can use in sump. I feed rather light I think. I use flakes one day and the next gel packs. I feed 1 gel pack of seaweed or cyclopeze daily through out the day.
I have some cheato and there use to be cualerpo. I never had luck growing this stuff to be honest. It just lives.
My zoas and softies look great. Even my pagoda cup. I never could keep SPS. If you checkout the LPS SPS forum you will pics
of my brain and yellow scroll corals which don't look good.
Water change was last week, 10g. As for type of rock no clue but most has been in for a couple of years.
A month ago I put two new pieces in I got off a fellow reefer.
