There is a chat area where you can post links. You can also screen share if you have something open on another tab/window that you want to share. We didn’t do either of those last time but it’s easy to do.
I’d hope we can have speakers/presenters at some point, if turnout is good enough to entice them. I’d think it’s a good opportunity for sponsors to connect with the club without travel, and in some cases they’d use those tools.
Re club improvements meeting, I think the board should determine when since they should be present. Having regular open meetings with the board via zoom is a great idea, so more membership can participate and get involved and initiate more member-driven activities and/or events. Quarterly, every other month, something like that-but better to start with one and see where that goes.
First things first....I’m hoping we can get a small committee of folks to help with this virtual meet thing. That way a few of us have the login credentials to start the meetings, and we can work together when it comes to evolving this thing to guest speakers and such, and maybe explore how to incorporate this to our in-person meets for those who can’t attend.
DM me if you’re interested. Ideally committee members should be comfortable with the technology so you can start meetings when necessary, comfortable moderating, and want to participate pretty regularly.
