From the advice of Austin at Trop we have been dosing our food with Vitamin C for a while now. The theory behind it is that it helps corals heal faster when they split which leads to more growth. I have zoas in my tank and they are doing great, I don't know if it is the Vitamin C or something else, but they are growing like crazy.

I actually use it for the fish.....works good to help a fish regenerate a damaged fin.

It seems to make the process of growing it back go that much faster.

Never knew it benefited corals.....it never seemed to do them any harm.

on RC there are several discussions about it. I just ordered a bottle from Herb.com and will start using it this weekend. Previously, I was using Brightwell Vitamin C and have some success with zoa growth.

I started dosing vit c (Herb.com) about 6 months ago. After about 1.5-2 months everything slimmed up in the tank.Stopped for about 5 days then started again just not the dose they talk about on RC.Can't really say if it's doing anything. Most of my zoas look good though some don't.

I had used it for a month one time and I started to see Red Algae :(
Did many water changes before it stopped growing.
