Honestly, it on your preference. Some people skim wet meaning the collection cup fills quickly and others dry skim where collection is more foaming and fills slowly. I prefer dry skim and dump the collection cup every 10 days when its about full.

I started carbon dosing elimi-np and the tank was looking better but now I see dinos lol … should I stop the dosage or keep it up till it balances out?

Only two pumps every day on my 45 gallons
