Vortech mp10 making noise

I just recently installed a vortech mp10 on my 24g nanocube. Ive been using random reefcrest mode. The pump is silent when its throttled down but as I adjust the dial to higher the speed then the pump begins to chatter as if the propeler is hitting against the guard. IS this common for break in? could there be something wrong with alignment?

Could be alignment. Follow the instructions formoving the motor VERY SLIGHTLY to see if you can reduce the noise. If it persists, call the folks at Ecotech, they are super helpful and will send new parts if needed, Great customer service.

Yup you have to mess with the alignment. If it's hard to see if it's aligned like on my tank then put it on high, hold both sides and move the inside one up down, and left right. You'll find the sweet spot with the least noise. But your still gonna have noise when it's on high that's normal
