Votrex and Neptune WXM

So I just added the WXM to my setup. I was able to get one of my Vortex hooked in and working fine. When I try the procedure to get the second one online it will not talk with the WXM. Not sure whats is wrong because both these pumps were bought at the same time and were working in a synchronized mode before the WXM module.

Figured I would ask if anyone has done this before and has any tricks they are willing to share.

I don't have an Apex nor the WXM expansion, but I do have a Reef Angel controller with a vortech controller module and just set this up for mine.

Not sure if this will help you at all, but, when I set mine up I had to clear the memory on my MP40 controller before setting it up as a slave (which is what I'm guessing you need to do also.) If you had them set up in sync mode before, then you likely have one set as a "master" and the other as a "slave"... and the one that's a "master" is overriding your WXM signals because they are already set on a specific wireless frequency.

The WXM should be basically taking over the role of the "master" and all of you vortechs should be set as a slave, and then either set to sync or anti-sync with the master (WXM module).

Here's a copy of the VorTech manual. Go to page 15 for instructions on how to clear the memory, then set it as a slave. Your WXM should come with instructions on how to set it all up after that.

very stressful day. I could not get the second pump on and after many tries my controller seized up. I rebooted it to only have it become very cripsy (non working). I had to factory reset it and just spent a few hours reprogramming. I AM A MORON NO BACKUP (and I work doing data center/disaster recovery stuff for a living). Once it was factory reset, i got both vortech pumps hooked up and working. What a crazy day.
