Welcome To NJRC! Take a minute to introduce yourself

New here! I'm Tony from Sussex county and have been caring for my nano tank since 2017. I've purchased practically everything from Absolutely Fish in Clifton NJ. I have a Fluval 13.5 gallon reef. Two clown fish, a pistol shrimp with goby. Lots of hammer corals and galaxy zoas, a dragon egg rock flower anemone, and 2 other unknown corals. I've gone through a handful of other corals or crustaceans that came and went in my tank, and the current ones are the hardy ones that have survived the long run and is very happy and stable with my conditions.

Welcome to the club. I also started out with the Evo- now I'm cycling my 3rd tank- a 28g cube- if any of your corals ever get too big, let me know, I'll gladly take them off your hands  :)

Hi, Joe here from Ocean County. New to this site. My dad and brother always grew up with tanks and so I started with a 55 gallon fowlr tank and upgraded to 75 mixed reef tank that's mostly fish with some frags thrown in tbh. Still new to the reef part of aquariums and how to get them to grow but enjoy the way they look when healthy and thriving.

Out of curiosity, is there an area to sell fish on here? I saw the coral trade area where people give away or sell their corals and frags but wasn't sure with how fish worked.

Thanks!

I believe you can post anything for sale on Deals and Steals if you are a paid member

Hi! I’m the owner of Jersey Corals LLC. We are currently in the process of opening a store in Passaic County. We have a wide selection of aquacultured, maricultured, and wild Indonesian corals. We get a new shipment direct from Indo about once monthly. The space is primarily going to be used as a grow out, but until we expand into a large storefront, we will have a showroom. We currently have around 600 gallons of systems set up, established since April, and are waiting on delivery of our Planet Aquariums frag tanks for our showroom. We are an authorized retailer for Planet, EcoTech Marine, and Tropic Marin. We’re going to run a summer sale starting today with 40% off site wide! We will continue to upload corals through the weekend! Check us out at JerseyCorals.com!

Hey all,

Monty here. Moved to JC last year from Queens, NY. First got into the hobby 6 yrs ago with a 40 breeder FOWLR and eventually got into reefing aspect of the hobby. Built my own custom 25 gal nano Lagoon tank and a 10 gal sump as my second tank setup. Which is my main tank now. Had to shut down my 45 gal tank when I moved to jersey. Tried to maintain my nano in NY while in was here in Jersey for a year until I realized long distance reefing relationship isn't ideal. So finally moved my nano to jersey. Got a little YouTube channel to document my reefing journey. Here's a quick pic. I will make a formal video of my new setup in my channel soon. I look forward to meeting everyone soon.
