Welcome To NJRC! Take a minute to introduce yourself

Good day all,
Glad to finally be part of NJRC! I have been to a meeting as a guest in 2009. Met great people too. I was raised in Puerto Rico. Currently reside in Westampton, NJ. I have been in this hobbie for 20+ years. Still learning to this day. I used to own a pet store in Stratford, NJ. moved it to Clementon and unfortunately could not continue. I currently have a 125gal mix reef. i hope i can contribute to this awesome club and look forward to meeting you all. Feel free to contact me for any questions or just need a hand moving a tank. always willing to help. If you want to stop by to check out my tank or jsut to talk tanks, fell free to contact me.

Glad to be here,
Austyn

Hello everyone,

My name is Joe. Hatched and raised in Toms River, then flew the coop to see the world for awhile. I'm new to the club, and relatively new to the hobby. I've had some freshwater tank experience before, but the closest thing to a saltwater tank, was whatever I could catch snorkeling off the reefs when I used to live in Hawai'i. Needless to say, I had an endless supply of yellow tangs and snowflake eels. Kept them for a day or two and returned them to where I caught them. Did manage to catch one small octopus, but was not privy to their penchant for pulling a Houdini. As a result, I tried to file a missing octopus report with the local PD, but to no avail. I have been to a couple of meetings, as a guest, with my brother whom is also a member. Everyone was very nice, and I am amazed at how passionate you all are, about the hobby. I recently acquired a bare-bones Solana 34, and slowly but surely piecing it together. Like a little kid at Christmas waiting for their parents to get up, I can't wait to get started! But I know...baby steps.

Looking forward to meeting more of you, and hoping you can shed some of your wisdom on the neophyte. Dance

Hey Joe, welcome to the club! make a tale of the tank thread when you get that solana going.

Thank you all, for the warm welcome.

I plan to Judeo. As soon as the GB purchase come in, and a few other hopeful purchases, I will take pics and post the different stages of set-up. I've been reading up on darn near every forum, looking for advise, and hope that whatever I post will help someone else with my particular set-up.

Hi everyone! My name is Paul and I live in Newark, I have been keeping reefs for several years but took some time off and I'm now just getting back into it. I am currently running a 55gallon acrylic tank thats been up for about a year now. I plan on actually joining the club, dues and all next week. I'm hoping when my wife and I find a home to buy I can upgrade to a very large tank!! Well I look forward to meeting everyone and checking out some meetings.
Thanks
Paul
