Welcome!!!Hello all my name is Gerard and I love art and science. Keep about 10 tanks one is a saltwater coral and invertebrate tank 80gallon trop tank and turtles and a 20gallon holding tank a 10gallon planted tank a few 4 gallon beta tanks a hermetcrab tank and I am currently working on a line of fancy goldfish and a special line of playts in born and raised nj and have plans to set up a saltwater native tank with critters that would be found in the Raritan bay
I'm on the look out for a pom pom crab and some clown fish for my saltwater tank and a cheap replacement light for my 80 gallon. I broke it the other day and have to find a replacement but tight on cash any leads?
Just got a new fish think it's a red scooter blenny take a look see my neat little fish
Hey buddy glad you finally joined it still kills me that your 80 is a dang gold fish tank instead of a reef tank but to each there own lolCheck out

also here's a picture of the Pico saltwater coral and invertebrate tank
guys got pods galore.. lol Relic is the friend I gave a rock of GSP I acquired from another member of the club the rock didn't make it to my tank and he got to keep it instead a few months later.. hundreds of pods took over his tank and to this day there are still new hitch hikers showing up interestingly enough at the time his tank was going for a long haul cycling there was no fish just rock sand and salt water the only thing added to the tank was the rock of GSP and it was like the "theory of an asteroid that hit earth and seeded all life" except on a much smaller scale in a 10 gallon nano tankI got pods an a whole invertebrate chain hope it stays stable and I don't have to add to it. The tanks about 7 months old has gsp and it's growing on glass and a hand coral some hermit crabs and countless pods tube worms and little snails couple different types of algea and t omoro I'm going to get a bigger hob to try and make a refugium to act like a secondaries pod habitat

Let's use this thread to introduce ourselves to each other.
Welcome to NJRC!
I'll start it off:
My name is Brian and I was born and raised in the state of NJ. I have been into fish since I really can remember, I had an older brother who had fish..so I naturally got into it. I had freshwater fish since I was about 5 or 6 (mostly guppies and mollies) and then got into Red Belly Piranaha's for about 10 years.Which then got too big for the 30 gallon I was keeping them in, so I put them in a 150 gallon at the pet store I was working in at the time. When I was about 25 my bosses gave me a 44 gallon pentagon SW set up as a bonus (Woo Hoo!) and its been sucking my bank account dry ever since! I think I spent more money trying to get around spending more money..if that makes any sense.
Currently I have a 120 gallon mixed reef with softies LPS and one SPS. The fish I have in there are a Hippo Tang, Flame Angel, Blue/Green Chromis (x4), six line wrasse and a mandarin.I also have a 90 gallon FOWLR that has A Snowflake Moray,Emporer Angel, baby clown trigger and a Dog Face puffer. The 44 gallon is now a freshwater community tank with live plants and mostly live bearing fish (guppies and mollies again, go figure!)
I currently work in the printing industry. I have been printing since High School and have been with my current employer for 8 years. ??? I started here as just a one color pressperson and then moved to 4 color printing and now I am the Production Manager. (or so they tell me!)
Thats all I can think of for now.
Ok i guess this is my introduction !
I am originally Maryland Born and raised and went to college here in NJ at Monmouth, I started my first saltwater tank in my junior year and while cleaning it out and starting that tank over with new sand i tipped it over and shattered it! from there it went to a 40 breeder and i have been progressing it ever since. I now work here full time in Middletown at a last minute decision job at ATT (formerly ATT Bell Labs)
Its still a "young"tank in my book and it only houses a clown pair a tomini tank (super little one) and a firefish.
corals are zoas, mushrooms, LPS, and GSP that is it ! as i get better with stability (need to get MAG,CALC,ALK right) I will increase the tank stocking. till then ride it slow and steady......
thanks !
