What coral would you add?

SPS is out- my lights are marginal at best, and I am still nailing down consistent husbandry/water quality.

The hammer in the sand has been moved to a magnet frag rack. The Candy Cane didn't like a placement and I had to kick it.

I feel like I need an Acan

Are favia that much different? I have a lot of flow on the rock on the left wondering what I should try to get going there.

I think a six line wrasse might be too much on the stocking side (2 clowns and a royal gramma now)

what kind of lights are you working with? would help a bit in selection. As for a high flow lps, possibly a cyphastria or something that doesn't have large polyps that can be blown in the current that bad.

I've never heard good things with those lights and keeping coral. They might hit 50 par on the rocks if you're lucky. How long has the other coral been in the tank? What size is the tank?

6 months I keep stuff on the easier scale/begginer- 36 gallon all in one 3ft by 1ft. I have had some decent growth. Palyp went from 2 to 13 heads. Hammer has split heads twice. I agree the lights are less than ideal though

acans you can do in lower flow, favia a bit higher flow, cyphastria in higher flow, maybe just find a way to get less flow in that area if you want other stuff there. Feeding the lps will do wonders for them as well when there's a low amount of light available.

I bought the Fluval M90 because it came with everything and I have systematically replaced every reason I bought it lol

last step is the lighting

I wish I got a reefer instead.

Right now instead of budget led's i prefer t5's, a 24 inch 4 bulb would do well over your tank. However, with lps, budget led's would be more than fine to grow them, the reef breeders 24 inch fixture would do well over your tank. Or you can pick up two chinese led boxes for about 200 and they would work just fine as well.

If I do upgrade I need to be careful about getting my existing coral adjusted to new lighting right? The real annoyance with my fluval are the blues and whites being on the same cord so I can not control with a timer. I think I am going to wait it out a little I am getting decent growth with these. I think the real dream is something bigger in the basement. I guess I will see how far I get sucked in on this hobby lol
