Nice walk thru. For those that couldn’t make it. It was a blast. Kind of a flea market meets science lab. Lots of knowledgeable people and opportunities to find good deals and corals you may not have seen at your local stores. Personally. I went two days and am reefed out for a few days. But would do it all over again in a heartbeat

I thought the reason was because NYC didnt have space for a stadium I feel like NJ should be able to claim reef a palooza since there's no reason if NY wanted to host it they couldn't do it in there state.
We shouldn't have to put New York on something in Jersey like we need it for popularity us NJ people are cool enough on are own to attract a crowd

Both those teams stink any ways we should not compare a great event to them it only muddys the waters lol
Lol its about the people that set it up if they really wanted too they could probably set up a venue in a collage or other trade show center

I actually managed to forget hitting an ATM on the way to the show. When I found out I'd have to cross the street for the closest ATM, I passed...
The following, however, did make my day:
All in all, I didn't actually come across any coral or fish specimens that I couldn't live without, so I figure my lack of cash was actually a good thing...
The following, however, did make my day:
- (1) Chatting with mnat and NikkiT
- (2) Getting Roger, from Tunze, to help me with a skimmer top I that had screwed up (on the best skimmer I've ever owned)
- (3) Beating up Kevin from Hannah about their failure to produce a Nitrate Checker (which he says is now really in development)
- (4) Quizzing Terrence about their Gen 1 of Apex's Optical Sensor Switches vs. their Gen 2 sensors (their party line is "salt water can/will eventually destroy anything")
- (5) Thanking the Ruby Reef rep for for their Ruby Reef Rally and Kick-Ich products for saving some of my fish
- (6) Chatting with Ari Thai, of Sea Volute, about their new Algae Jet algae filter (www.SeaVolute.com) which actually uses Ulva Intestinalis algae and has a very clever way of keeping their high level LEDs from collecting algae that eventually blocks their LED lighting
- (7) Chatting with the Reefbot developer about what life was like in current day Lebanon
All in all, I didn't actually come across any coral or fish specimens that I couldn't live without, so I figure my lack of cash was actually a good thing...
Could've sworn there was an ATM in the lobby by the ticketing booth..
New York has space for a stadium. In fact the Jets were looking to build a stadium not too long ago in NY but a high up person wanted them to build in one area (to raise the value of his propties) and they wanted to build some place else so the high up guy put a stop to it.
I always heard the reason why its called NY and not NJ (for those building) is cause NY pays the taxes on it not NJ.

Walking around all day & waited until the end to buy Dr Tim's to only forget. I can't believe I actually forgot!
I waited because I didn't want any products to accidentally spill. I remembered when I got home. [emoji107] that sucked. Dr. Tim is truly a great guy & wanted to shoot the breeze with him while I bought some of his products. (Spoke last year)
I bought the Marco's Rocks display but needed some help getting them to the car. A fellow reefer named Sponge helped me out. If you guys know Matt, you know what kind of a person he is. Thanks a bunch again! Mr & Mrs Sponge #1 [emoji846]
