what kind of doser is better

BRS dosing pump controlled by a timer (controller) or standalone unit like bubble magus 3 pump unit? What are the pro and cons? Or are these all reliable enough it won't make a difference?

Yea, the marine majic one is probably the best deal out there and I've heard nothing but good reviews about them. I'll be using the BRS dosers when I do my upgrade though, only because I won a pair of them in a raffle last year. Dance Free is a slightly better deal than $180 but if you have to buy them, that's what I would suggest.

Only reason they're still sitting in the box is because I just don't have room to install them under my current stand.

I'm leaning towards purchasing the BRS myself based on comments by other members.

In BRS video, they're saying the BRS units are "Pro" grade compare to the standalones' "hobby" grade. Not sure it holds any water but it does look bigger in the video than the hobby grade ones. Not too worry about the hobby grade pump but will the timer be less reliable than the ones in a controller.

3 channel for 150 with controller isn't too bad a deal. I think I paid $62 a piece for mine with no controller. Not that I need a controller cause I am using a Reef Angel to control them but still...
