Well my BRS dual reactor is set up and has a leak on the GFO side..A friend gave me a O-ring to try but it is a tad on the skinny side and the GFO side still leaks( water in thread).. So this morning i thought I'll order two new O-Rings from BRS and can't seem to find them just ones of RO units.. so i thought I'll send them a Email asking If the RO O-ring will fit the their BRS dual reactor.. The answer i got..
"Dear Sid,

Your question regarding product O-Ring for 10" Reverse Osmosis Canisters has been answered

Your question:

Will this O-ring fit on a dual reactor ?

Their answer is:

Possibly. Every batch of canisters can be different, sometimes they are bigger/smaller and longer/shorter so its something of a gamble. If your already placing an order I would say its worth tossing on it just to check."

Can't even point me in the right direction for a O-ring for their reactor?...This is a first for me!

I just sent a email back
Why Don't you send me every 0-ring you sell and let's see what one fit's your BRS Dual reactor . And I'll return the ones that don't. I'm really not in a gambling mood right now what with a water stain on my ceiling and Don't have time to play around

Thanks

Sid

That is ridiculous but I like your reply.

I would have said since you obviously are clueless regarding the products you sell can you point me to someone that does know about this particular item? If not I will gladly return it and expect a full refund for your incompetence.

Sid I feel yr pain for sure.I placed an order with them awhile back and my trouble started with getting my address right the rest was all downhill from there.I wouldnt order from them again.Good luck on finding yr o ring

Mark.. I can't send it back due to i bought it used but that's not the point.. how can you sell something with your name on it and say you don't know what a main/important part of it is?

Tony..I WILL find them o-rings.. I will email/call them every day until they get sick of me and find the right one for their product.. I don't care if they have to go to the factory in china of Oringlow and sons to find it.. One thing with any product is keep it Constant or know if there is a variant in product in the model is put a number or letter (123/ABC)on it and get extra parts from each manufacturer.. that's a no brainer! BTW.. Did they send your stuff to someone else and did you ever get it?.. how long did it take if resolved?.. i mean mistakes do happen but there is something wrong with this picture almost buy every O- ring till you get it right

That's crazy! I'm kind of shocked at their reply...they've always been extremely helpful to me...and knowledgeable. Weird!

Dan,.. Every BRS dual reactor I have seen are all the same( in person, online even in the BRS video and web site).. I can understand about the RO units being different models but there is only one dual reactor model.. this is crazy!... I mean what happens if the ring snapped you have to buy a whole new reactor or run to every plumbing store hoping they have the right one?.. As i said before you can buy every other thing for it from BRS apart from the one thing that stops water leaking out.. It's a crazy world we live in and common sense is out of the window.. I mean if you are buying from the manufacturer wouldn't you say what can we do for spare parts for that lot or batch or model?.. I'm sure im not the first to ask them do you have a 0-ring for your dual reactor

Sid I had to call ups then I needed to call BRS and get a release number, which of course BRS wasnt willing to give me(??)The guy I spoke to at BRS I couldnt understand(felt like I was at a 7/11,so I spoke to his brother(obviously family owned)which didnt help much either took me from 3 pm till 5pm to finally track and go get my order in Lakewood UPS.

I got this after i sent that email

"We only sell one o-ring. We just can't tell you if it works for your
canister because it may not. A local hardware store might be your better
bet, especially if your in a time crunch. Also, the reactors shouldn't be
under pressure so a little silicone o-ring lubricant might be all you need
unless the o-ring was misplaced all together.
