Paying for Corzine’s tax increases he announced today. Of course he didn’t call them tax increases, but when you cut education and local municipal incentives (like he’s saving us money), you know that your local taxes will certainly increase to make up the difference…he’s just passing the buck…nothing has changed, just a different tax collector.

A trillion in econmic stimulus plus billions in bail outs = Inflation like you won't believe within the next 2 years. You can't just print money or add to the deficit without devalueing the dollar to zero! Hang on folks!

PS: I had a much longer response as to why this happened and about what will happen when our troops come back. All i can say is spend that money so hopefully these men and women return to a better country then they left.

i think as soon as he gets into the white house. although i'm sure it'll take a couple weeks to distribute them. also not sure if they will do something like they did last stimulus check where it will depend on your social security number on when you get the check.

Is there some upper limit to this? Like if you make more than $X, you're not eligible?

Cm if ur making 250,000 or more a year which i beleive is the threshold for tax increases and rebates, your not worried about 1000 - 500 dollars.

I think the people who are making 250+ a year are not worried about getting a rebate. But they are sure smart (thats why they make 250+) enough to know that most people who get this money will not pay down their debt. Instead they will take their 500 bucks and put it towards something for say $750 and put the balance on their credit card. That is exactly what got us here in the first place.
Until we stop using our house (equity loans) and credit cards as ATM machines we will never get out of this.I can't believe there are so many people in favor of this. Don't buy into this crap about this is how we got out of the Great Depression its not. Back then we were not carrying as much debt as a whole as we are now. Plus we had alot more colateral back then. Now most of our country is owned by foreign investors.
Sure we are getting a trillion dollars given back to us (or so it appears,you will have to pay this back at some point). But just think how much better off this country would be if it was never taken from us in the first place. When ever someone is looking you in the face and handing you free money you can reat assured he is reaching around into your back pocket!!!
