I have my ATO setup like this: RODI to a 65g tank which has a shutoff. I then plug in a pump to move water into a 20g tank that is actually connected to the ATO. I know some people like to do this all in one but I find having a human point in there is good. However sometimes I plug in the pump to move the water over and forget to unplug it and walk up stairs. I would say I have dumped 35-40g of water on the floor at least 3 times now. However, I found a cheap fix: A sign on the back of the basement door asking if I unplugged the RODI. Since the installation of that high tech designe, zero floods.
