that you can't walk by the tank, when you have 100 more important things you're supposed to be doing and think "oh let me reposition that powerhead a bit, and oh look the stupid rotating hydor isn't rotating let me fix that real quick will not end until
- you knock the front guard off the hydor, sending it flying to the very back or your rockwork, meaning even with your 12" tweezers and full arm gloves you still end up with wet arms, shirt (and being a woman, certain "parts" hang closer to the water when bending over from the top, yup soaked too), and wood floor are covered in water.
- you knock down countless corals trying to get the stupid thing back on and positioned right
stupidly you continue since you're already soaked and that rotating one still isn't...
- when you try to jiggle it a bit to get it turning it pops off, when you try to put it back on (still reaching all the way to the back middle of the tank where it is hidden behind the rocks mind you)you knock the magnet mount off which is now lost in the back of your overflow. Trying to grab the powerhead you manage to knock over the remaining frags & small rocks that you didn't knock over earlier (and some you did), you finally fish the magnet out of the overflow and try to reposition your powerhead, turn it on.. yup not rotating again. Repeat all the above 3 more times, breaking off a big piece of your poor sps in the process which now looks all lopsided.
- finally get the stupid thing remounted, corals put back, and realize it's spinning all crazy... decide it's just adding to the changing flow pattern so who cares.
- only finally stop when your 3 1/2 yr old is screaming because mommy has been "just fixing something real quick" for well over 1 1/2 hours and she's starving for lunch.
I have to go change my top now.
UGH!
