I pickup in whatever store I am in at the time. AqOb, Petco, etc.Need to stock up. Just the usually san fran bay stuff. I used to go to AqOb and they have decent prices for multiple packs. Shall we do a group by?
Agree. I bought a bunch and half never showed up; got a refund. What I did receive was defrosted. They resent what they had in stock and refunded the rest.Lgs/brs for mysis/silver's. Whatever market for shrimp/ squid/ clams/ seaweed. I'm not sure what the difference between smelt from the asian market and silversides from hikari, but my fish won't touch the stuff from the asian market. I read it's the same fish, but guess where they are harvested makes a dif, lol.
Marine depot had a huge sale for frozen food when brs bought em. I think alot of people here had a refund bc it a disaster.
If its packaged seafood, It's a safe bet its included for sure. Though I'm not sure if it had enough quantity to affect the fish, haven't found any research on it before. For you DIY Fish food makers, I found this out a couple years ago....be aware of Sodium Tripolyphosphate that is used with prepared seafood, and this is hard to believe, but they do NOT need to list Sodium Tripolyphosphate on their labeling. This would add additional phosphates to you system. And it is used on frozen seafood as well as fresh seafood from you fish monger. The one good thing if you buy from a fish monger, if you ask, they should tell you if they use it.
HERE's a short article on the use of this stuff.
No frozen packaged here. Fresh live clams, mussels and oysters live in the shell. I save the shells and toss one in every few days as a treat for them to clean. Admittedly I can't say the same about all of it. I buy fresh wild salmon, shrimp and squid but it's not live. My fish are growing, fat and love what I feed them. Trying to do the best I can for them.If its packaged seafood, It's a safe bet its included for sure.
