Will this tank be good for a sump/refugium?

It is a 65g 48"x18"x17x glass tank that was used to hold plants as a terrium.

This would be used as a sump or QT for the future and the price was $40 bucks so it is hard to turn down. What do you experts think?

Should be OK as long as they didn't use any fertilizers for the plants.
IT may leach out of the silicone.

Yes,but I think if they just used liquid on the leaves and not spikes in the substrate you should be fine.
Is the silicone discolored,,,,do you know if they had fish in the terrium?

they didn't mention it. I have only seen pictures of the tank so far with nothing in it.

I would try to find out some more info. is possable.

i'd say it's fine as long as you can find longer pieces of glass to create baffles.

where would be a good place to get longer pieces of glass or acrylic?

Lowes will custom cut acrylic or glass baffles for you if you bring them the dimensions.

I got my glass cut at a place in perth amboy, i forget the name but if you google "glass shop perth amboy" you should be able to find it. It was 10 or 12 dollars a piece. Or you can find a place in Brunswick, i'm sure. Make sure your messurments are correct. (I had to go twice)
