The membrane would be my concern, without unraveling, it be like a box of chocolates. It could be damaged or clogged or something

Also if you factor in the cost of good cartridges and a RO membrane, then DI resin, it may be almost the same as buying a new one with everything included . The brs units come with flush kits and pressure gauges which can save you time in buying them separately.

It also will be more plug n play with new IMO

Now I heard about this when people debate salt "saltwater is the main element in our tanks so we shouldn't take the cheap route there" No granted I do use RC salt (which is among the cheaper salt) but do believe RO/DI water is important. I just feel to be safe about a use RO/DI system I would want to replace all the filters and membrane. Also would I truly trust the TDS meter and/or pressure gauge on a used unit?

It's a good thing I'm new at this and have no clue on what im doing I only had maybe 5-6 successful beautiful reef tanks

I miss the good old days when you wouldn't be able to comment on WTB threads

MODS pleas lock this up I will find a USED 1 somewhere else
