...yet another skimmer conundrum

I am looking for a choice of skimmer for my 90G with 29G sump.

Here's the choice I have in front of me:

1. MRC MR1 - $125
2. Sump buddy 40 - $150
3. DAS EX1 - $200

I am inclined towards the MRC (yeah I am cheap ;D), but I also have heard good things about it. However the sump buddy is the only one that will fit my sump (I dont mind an outside sump setup either). Thoughts? Opinions?

I have the DAS EX1 and it works great.Would replace with the same if I needed to.Very easy to setup and run.$200 is a good price. It seats outside the sump (could go in sump also).Never used the other two though you hear good things about them.

I use the MRC MR1 with an extension riser.

I would probably pass on it if I were given the same chance again - though $125 is a very good price. My thoughts are it is finicky - a hand in the water will cause the skimming to stop.

One thing I really like about the MRC is the waste collector. However that's a separate purchase. :p

The MRC can also be run outside the sump.

Sump buddy when I took it out of my 125.

I like the BM160 tor BM200 (Bubble Magus not Bubble Master) - nuocean.com or the MSX 200 - I am currently using the 250. But I'm thinking of selling it and getting the Bubble Magus 200. 1 less pump and good performance from what I see. (I'm using a 30 gallon breeder as a sump.)

This is absolutely freaky man!!! .... I just read up about the Bubble Maguses from somewhere else and was about to ask people of their opinions. If not anything they sure are colourful ;D.

Any user's of bubble maguses here? They get made in Brooklyn, so should be easy enough to get them serviced.
