I'm pretty sure the second ones are watermelons. What are the ones in the background behind the green ones?

there are a few differt kinds of zoas that look simalar depending on the tank but are still concider "named" the name. the two you have there are pretty common

the green ones look like Radio Active Dragon Eyes.

if the second ones are red ish then they are whaming watermelon. If they look more orange then they are eagle eyes.

www.zoaid.com is like to bible for zoas. www.club-zoa.com is where all the zoa heads hang out try posting over there.

ed,

now that i saw the link you attached they do look like radioactive dragon eyes almost exact. and the second zoas are orange not red. I always thought they were eagle eyes but wasn't sure. I'll post them at zoaid just to get some more info

thanks

those two types of zoas were the first of about 50 different ones I've had. They were the start of the obbsession. What are you going to get next?

Not sure if i want to keep any zoas at all. I like them and there are many that i would love to have, but keeping them from growing all over the place is kinda making me lean towards not having them. My eagles eyes for instance probably have 200+ polyps. If i knew how to frag them it might be a different story. And besides i'm paranoid about palytoxin. I know my own paranoia. I think in my new tank i'm going to keep SPS, LPS, mushrooms and maybe some select Zoas and softies but i'm not a 100% sure yet

If you do frag the eagle eyes i'd like some.

I have those rightnext to eachother in my tank. Fast growers too.

I want to start making rocks with the basic zoas covering it. Like a rock with Radioactive Dragon Eyes, Dragon Eyes, and Whamin Watermellon in the middle. I would look green, green/red, and then red. It would be a pretty cool looking rock.
